on closer inspection this appears to not be a sapling, but a stunted old shrub whose bark is gnarled with age. despite this a couple leaves yet cling to its branches.
on the leaf, there are morning dew drops which reflect the sunlight. there's something shifting beneath the largest one that's more than a reflection.
